Maintenance Process for BionicWP Plans (Lite, Secure & Speed & Secure)

BionicWP offers three plans: Lite, Secure, and Speed & Secure, each providing a different level of maintenance and performance care.
From hosting reliability to active speed management, every plan ensures your site remains fast, secure, and stable without you needing to handle any technical work.

Once your site is onboarded, the BionicWP team and system handle all maintenance tasks automatically in the background.
Depending on your plan, this includes weekly updates, daily malware scans, uptime monitoring, multi-layer backups, and speed optimization.

Here is what happens behind the scenes.

We perform WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates every week on Secure and Speed & Secure plans.
All updates are performed with care using our internal testing and verification process to ensure your site remains fully stable and compatible.

Our update process includes:

1. A full backup of your site, including files and database, before every update.

2. A pre-update screenshot is taken for reference.

3. WordPress, themes, and plugins are updated to the latest stable versions.

4. A post-update screenshot is captured after updates.

5. The system compares both screenshots automatically to detect any layout or design changes.

6. If issues are found, the site is rolled back to the previous version immediately.

7. If a plugin update fails due to license restrictions, our team will contact you with the details.

This process keeps your website updated, secure, and consistent.
Lite plan users do not include managed updates, while Secure and Speed & Secure plans include full weekly updates.

• Every site is scanned twice daily to detect and remove malware or security vulnerabilities.

• Backups are created across three layers, including hourly database backups each day.

• In the event of a security issue, the system isolates the affected area and restores a clean version automatically.

• All backups and scans are securely stored with full version control for fast recovery.

We monitor your site around the clock to ensure it stays available at all times.
Full backups are taken daily and securely stored for recovery when needed.
We retain multiple backup versions to ensure that your site can be restored quickly and accurately if required.

The Speed & Secure plan provides complete performance optimization and daily speed monitoring.
Our team proactively manages all aspects of your site’s speed and performance to ensure it continues loading fast on all devices.

Performance management includes:

• Configuring caching layers such as page, object, and browser cache.

• Compressing, minifying, and merging CSS and JS files safely.

• Enabling lazy loading for images, videos, and iframes.

• Deferring or delaying non-critical JavaScript files.

• Preloading fonts and important assets for faster rendering.

• Optimizing and serving images in WebP format automatically.

• Integrating and configuring CDN for faster global delivery.

• Running audits using PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse to detect any slow or heavy assets.

Automated Speed Alerts
Our system checks your site’s PageSpeed score every day and alerts our team if the score falls below the set threshold.
The threshold is 80 for mobile and 85 for desktop.
If this happens, our team reviews the speed alert and works to restore your site’s performance so that it meets or exceeds the threshold.

Speed alerts are addressed when the daily ticket queue is low and are processed in descending order, meaning the site with the lowest score receives attention first.
If our team is unable to improve your site’s score, speed notes are added to your site’s details page under the PageSpeed Insights section.
If your site requires specific on-site changes to improve performance, our team will contact you by email with the details and recommendations.

For immediate review, you can also report a slow site directly to our performance team.

The Lite plan provides a solid hosting foundation that includes uptime monitoring, SSL support, daily backups, and 24/7 customer support.
This plan does not include managed updates, malware scanning, or performance optimization.

The Secure plan includes weekly managed updates, twice-daily malware scans, and multi-layer backups with hourly database snapshots.
It ensures your site remains updated, protected, and stable.
This plan does not include performance management or speed optimization.

The Speed & Secure plan provides complete website care.
It includes everything in the Secure plan along with active performance management, daily PageSpeed monitoring, optimization of core web vitals, and continuous speed tuning by our team.

You can generate detailed maintenance and performance reports for each site from your BionicWP dashboard.
These reports summarize uptime, update history, security results, and PageSpeed performance.

1. Log in to your BionicWP dashboard at https://my.bionicwp.com.

2. Click “Sites” in the left-hand menu.

3. Select your site and open the “Site Reports” tab.

4. If reports are disabled, click “Enable Reports.”

5. Choose the report schedule (weekly or monthly), customize it with your logo or site name, and click “Save.”

6. Reports are automatically generated and can be reviewed or shared directly from your dashboard.

Review your site reports regularly to stay informed about updates, malware scans, uptime performance, and speed improvements.
Avoid installing unnecessary plugins or making large theme changes without testing on staging first.
If you notice any slowdown, open a support ticket or report a slow site for quick attention from our team.
