Care Plan Service Overview
Overview
The BionicWP Care Plan is designed to keep your WordPress website stable, secure, and up to date while reducing the operational burden on your team.
This service is ideal for websites that are hosted externally but still require professional monitoring, routine maintenance, and access to our tooling stack.
Use this guide to understand what happens during onboarding, what is included in the service, and where responsibilities begin and end.
How it Works
Once a site is onboarded to the Care Plan, we connect it to our monitoring and maintenance systems. From there, our team continuously watches over updates, uptime, security signals, and general health.
The first month of service works exactly the same as every other month; there is no special or limited onboarding period. As soon as the site is connected, monitoring and maintenance begin.
Key behaviors and logic
Monitoring & Maintenance
The site is connected to our management stack.
We monitor uptime and general site health.
Routine plugin and WordPress updates are performed.
Security and malware monitoring is enabled via our tools.
Updates & Failed Plugins
If a plugin update fails, the most common causes are:
Hosting or server-level restrictions
Missing or expired plugin licenses
Conflicts that require deeper server or developer access
For Care Plan sites (externally hosted), our scope is limited.
We can:
Roll a plugin back if an update we performed causes an issue.
We cannot:
Troubleshoot server configurations
Access hosting logs
Modify firewall or resource settings
Perform advanced debugging that requires server control
If deeper intervention is required, the hosting provider or your developer would need to assist.
Existing Hosting Provider Services
If your host already performs backups, monitoring, or updates, that will not conflict with our service.
However, if their updates run before ours, those changes may not appear in BionicWP reports since the action did not originate from our system.
Human + Tooling Approach
We install a connector plugin that links your website to our maintenance and monitoring platform (including MalCare and related systems).
This is not fully automated — our team actively oversees alerts, outcomes, and edge cases.
Additional Development or Technical Work
General development, custom coding, or technical investigations are not included in the Care Plan.
If you have the Unlimited Edits add-on, we can review whether the request falls within that scope.
Third-Party Server Issues
If a problem originates from your hosting provider (e.g., GoDaddy, NameCheap, or other hosts), we cannot directly resolve it because we do not have administrative control over those environments.
You would need to coordinate with the host for resolution.
When the Service Starts
The moment the site is successfully connected to our systems, monitoring and maintenance begin.
There is no waiting period.
