What Happened?
GoDaddy experienced a DNS-related disruption that affected domain resolution for many websites across the internet. When DNS records fail or respond intermittently, browsers are unable to locate the server where the website is hosted—resulting in timeouts, failed loads, or intermittent downtime.
Because the issue was at the DNS provider level, it impacted any domain using GoDaddy’s DNS services, regardless of where the site was actually hosted
Impact on BionicWP
Our servers, containers, and network remained fully operational throughout the incident.
No downtime occurred on our hosting infrastructure.
The affected sites were simply unable to resolve their DNS properly due to GoDaddy’s outage.
Performance, security, and application uptime on our side were fully intact
How We Verified This
Our team ran:
Full server health checks
DNS lookup traces
Container and uptime monitoring reviews
Firewall and load balancer logs
All logs confirmed 100% stability on our infrastructure.
External DNS resolution checks pointed consistently to GoDaddy’s DNS failure as the source.
Current Status
GoDaddy has restored their DNS services, and domains are now resolving normally. Affected sites should be fully accessible again.
