What You Need to Migrate Your Site to BionicWP

Edited

Overview

BionicWP offers free, fully managed migrations for any WordPress site—no matter how simple or complex. To ensure a smooth and successful move, we’ll need a few key details from you before we get started.

How It Works

Once you submit the required access information, our team handles the entire migration for you—from downloading your files and database to launching the site on BionicWP. If you'd like, we can even update your DNS records to make the site live—just give us registrar access or work with us when you're ready to flip the switch.

Migrations typically take 6 to 48 hours depending on the size and complexity of your site.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Gather These Required Details

To begin a migration, please have the following ready:

  • Domain Name
The current domain of the site you'd like us to move (e.g., yourdomain.com).

  • WordPress Admin Login URL
    Typically yourdomain.com/wp-admin unless customized.

  • WordPress Username & Password
Admin-level credentials so our team can access the backend of your site.

2. Optional: DNS Update Access (If You Want Us to Handle It)

If you'd like us to update your DNS and point the domain to BionicWP, please also provide:

  • Domain Registrar Login URL
    (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.)

  • Registrar Username or Email

  • Registrar Password

Note: If your domain registrar has 2FA enabled, we may need a code from you during the DNS update process.

3. Submit Your Migration Request

  • Log in to your BionicWP dashboard at https://my.bionicwp.com

  • Click on "Request Migration"

  • Fill out the form with the details listed above

  • Submit the request—our team will take it from there

Pro Tip:
If you have more than 10 sites to migrate, let us know. We can streamline the process with a bulk migration spreadsheet—just list your domains, plans, and access credentials, and we’ll handle everything for you.
