How to Push a Site From Staging to Live Environment

Edited

Overview

BionicWP provides a seamless process to transition your website from a staging environment to a live environment. This feature allows you to test changes safely before making them publicly accessible.

How It Works

Once you've completed testing and are satisfied with the changes on your staging site, BionicWP enables you to push these updates to your live site effortlessly. This process ensures that your live site reflects all the modifications made in the staging environment.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log into the BionicWP Dashboard

  2. Access Your Sites

    • Click on “Sites” in the left navigation menu.

    • Locate and select the site associated with the staging environment you wish to push live.

  3. Switch to the Staging Environment

    • In the site dashboard, click on the Site Environment dropdown next to the site URL.

    • Select Staging Environment to switch to the staging version of your site.

  4. Initiate the Push to Live

    • Scroll down to the Push to Live section.

    • Click the Push to Live button to begin the process.

  5. Confirmation

    • Once the process is complete, your staging site will be live, and all changes will be reflected on your public website.

Pro Tip: Before pushing to live, ensure that all functionalities, plugins, and themes are working correctly in the staging environment. This practice helps prevent potential issues on your live site.
