Where to Find Your SFTP Credentials
Overview
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) allows you to access your website's files securely. BionicWP provides an easy way to generate and manage SFTP credentials directly from your dashboard, ensuring secure and efficient file management for your WordPress site.
How It Works
BionicWP enables you to generate unique SFTP credentials for each of your websites. These credentials grant you secure access to your site's files, allowing you to perform tasks such as uploading themes, plugins, or troubleshooting issues.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log into the BionicWP Dashboard
Navigate to my.bionicwp.com and sign in with your credentials.
Access Your Sites
Click on “Sites” in the left navigation menu.
Locate and select the site for which you want to generate SFTP credentials.
Navigate to the SFTP/SSH Section
Scroll down to the SFTP/SSH section within the site dashboard.
Generate SFTP Credentials
Click on the Regenerate Credentials button.
Your new SFTP credentials, including the username, password, and host information, will be displayed.
Use the Credentials
Utilize these credentials with your preferred SFTP client (e.g., FileZilla, Cyberduck) to access your site's files securely.
Pro Tip: Always keep your SFTP credentials confidential and regenerate them periodically to maintain security. If you suspect that your credentials have been compromised, regenerate them immediately to prevent unauthorized access.
