How Many Backups Do I Have w/ BionicWP?

BionicWP offers a robust multi-layer backup system to protect your website data and give you peace of mind. Unlike most managed WordPress providers, we go beyond daily snapshots—offering multiple backup layers and long-term retention even after cancellation.

Use this information to understand how many backups are available, where they live, and how you can access or restore them if needed.

BionicWP uses three levels of backups:

1. Platform-Level Backups (Daily, 30-Day Retention)

   • Easily accessible from your BionicWP dashboard.

   • Daily backups are automatically created and retained for 30 days.

   • Perfect for quick restores or recent changes.

2. Off-Platform Archive Backups (90-Day Retention)

   • We keep 2 separate 90-day rolling backup systems behind the scenes.

   • These serve as additional redundancy in case of platform-level issues.

3. Post-Cancellation Backups (6-Month Retention)

   • Even after cancellation, we store your last site backup for 6 months.

   • This allows you to return and restore your site if needed—an added layer of protection unique to BionicWP.
